Literature Text

It was a cold, dark night. The wind was occasionally letting out on the outpost, but the guards still stood there, watching, waiting, and trying not to fall asleep. It was almost Midnight. The first guard yawned, and then looked down, and saw the oddest thing: A Red Dot moving up his torso, until it reached his heart. A shot was fired. A hole the size of a roll of tape was left were his heart was. He fell to the ground, dead. The second guard was about to call for help, when the same Red Dot went to his chest. Another shot was heard. Same hole, same death. The 3 other guards at the main gate suffered the same fate. From the shadows, a large White Revolver with Gold Trimming appeared. It was a 5-shooter, and had 4 chambers tied together, along with a Red Dot, a Scope, a Flashlight, and a Blacklight. A thumb reached a small gear in the side of the revolver, and turned it, rotating the mechanism the chambers were attached to, putting a fresh chamber were the old one was, granting the carrier 5 more shots. He stepped out of the shadows, wearing only a dirty old cloak with ratty shoes. He walked inside the gate, and shot down the 5 guards, and then switched chambers again. He broke down the final gate, and took a look at the 4 bodyguards surrounding the King, who was a little "Busy" with one of the Outpost's citizens. The Figure growled, and then spoke. "Forcing yourself on an underage girl, and using black magic to summon Enraged Spirits as your personal bodyguards. How fitting." He then spat, and then raised his revolver, putting two holes in each of the guard's heads, leaving 2 bullets left in the fourth and final chamber. He looked up at the clocktower, and took off the hood to his cloak, and then looked back. "30 seconds until midnight. You have until then to explain yourself." The figure said. The king was almost blinded by the light that surrounded the figure when he took off his hood, and was immensely afraid. He could only stammer out "Who are you?"
The figure replied with "My people gave you 5 days to clean up your sinful acts, and be redeemed. I even was able to convince the Heavens to send 2 Angels down to help. We never heard back from them. We couldn't even find 1 Redeemed man. So, in short, I am your Worst Nightmare." He said, looking up at the clocktower. He raised his gun. "3...2...1..."
When the clocktower struck midnight, the bullet struck the King, which opened the portal back to the figure's realm. He helped the girl up, helped put her clothes back on, and then prayed with her to help her get over the trauma. He then looked around, and walked towards one of many cages in the Throneroom. He looked inside, and saw the 2 Angels, beaten, bruised, and raped. Using his last bullet, he shot open the lock, and helped the 2 Angels back to the Celestial Realm. Before the figure went through, he turned around, summoned a ball of energy in his hand, and then sent it into the ground, creating a blast of light that stunned everyone in the outpost, and sent them into a week's worth of vivid dreams that would force them into redemption, no matter what it did to their mind.
The figure was in the kingdom of his own people, the Titans. He walked into the throneroom, and removed his cloak, revealing a dazzling suit of armor that matched his revolver. He bowed down to a man sitting on the throne, holding the one object that showed leadership within the Titans: The Hammer of All. The leader spoke "Rise, Paladin." The figure did so. "So, how did your mission go?" "It was a success, my lord. Rebtarm will be lead to redemption, without their corrupt king, and about 10 guards." "So, you saved 562 people, with a death toll of 11?" "15. I also killed 4 Demons they summoned." "Alright, 15 deaths. You're losing your edge. Usually it'd be a %35 death toll at the minimum." "Well, those 15 were the only unrighteous ones I encountered." "Fine, fine. But I still expect you to perform just like you always do. What was the motto of yours again?" "No Compromises, No Second Chances, No Excuses. Just kill them." "Yep, that certainly fits you. What stopped you?" "I saw the king doing adulterous things to an unwilling, innocent child. I helped her." "What is it with you and Rape Victims? They make you all gushy inside." "Yes, but I still keep on my path." "That's good enough for me, I guess." The leader said, sitting down. The figure then stood in front of the leader, summoning the King's head. "I, Armeck Geddon, Paladin of the Titans, give you, my leader, High Enforcer Rezekar Therx, the head of the latest corrupt leader, King Daniel Werswith." the figure said, handing the King's head to his leader.
A young messenger burst through the door, panting. "Sir Armeck! Sir Armeck!" The boy said, holding a scroll. "I have a message for you from the Undead King!" "What does King Termish want with me?" Armeck said, handing his revolver to the blacksmith to be reloaded. "Usual?" The smith asked. "Yes, please." Armeck said. "Alright boys, we gotta make 20 more of Sir Armeck's .480 Ruger Explosive Rounds." "What is it, Armeck?" Rezekar asked, walking to Armeck. "King Termish wants to hire me to train his son how to be...a super assassin."
